The truth is stranger than fiction – the Banks hypothesis and the implications of some interactions of superluminal particles, 2007, performance (20mins)

This lecture purported to be by an associate research PhD on Professor Iain M. Banks’ team at CERN and explained how it was possible to travel faster than light. The lecture began in the realms of real quantum physics which was slowly diluted by an interpretation of how the view of hyperspace used in Banks’ Culture novels might actually happen. All the real physics used was taken from a popular science book by Michio Kaku and the internet and often seemed more incredible than the sections that were fictional.
