Watching the Danish Government, 2008,

This is an excerpt from a series of videos and photographs where the Finance and Welfare Ministries of Denmark were kept under covert surveillance, over the period of a week, in January 2008.

As part of its reforms the current Right-wing coalition government of Denmark moved the responsibility of dealing with the Freetown of Christiania to the Palaces and Properties Agency (Slots- og Ejendomsstyrelsen) of the Finance Ministry, in an attempt to regulate and control the Freetown.

This process has included increased police activity in and surveillance of Christiania that has leading to a greater sense of insecurity and unease amongst the residents. (See for more information)
